I am so sorry I have been MIA… however my life has taken over … SUCKY! I do hope to get back into the spirit of writing as I was loving it.
But just a little update I am currently in Chicago and LOVING it… I mean who doesn’t love Chicago???
So as I am in Chicago I thought I would let you into my TOP 5 things to do while your in the windy city.
1. BILLY GOAT TAVERN
The famous Billy Goat Tarvern is DEFINITELY a place you have to go. Established in 1934 this place has seen it all. So take it from me YOU GOTTA EAT HERE… oh and order a double double.
2. CLOUD GATE
Cloud Gate or as I (and many many others) like to call it ‘The Bean’. Is just a really cool sculpture by Anish Kapoor’s located in Millennium park. Great place to take some ‘selfies’.
3. NAVY PIER
It’s hot, it’s summer, you want a beer or a margarita? Head to Navy Pier located right on the water (obviously) this place has some serious people watching and guess what! You can walk around with a drink… epic!
4. JOHN HANCOCK OBSERVATORY
You can’t go to the city and not see the city from the sky. The 360 views at the John Hancock building are unreal… and if you dare try the TILT. Which is basically a glass window which you stand in and it TILT’s to scare the crap out of you. AWESOME.
5. MAGNIFICENT MILE
Or MAG MILE as ‘us’ Chicagoan’s say, is the PERFECT place to get your shop on… stuffed with high street names such as TopShop and High ends names such as Burberry… this mile of shopping has something for everyone!
Hopefully you are heading to Chicago at some point and if not… set a date! You will love it.
I’m back!! After a lovely long weekend, some time to catch up with family and friends, and enjoy Canada Day… I am back and ready to get BLOGGING!
After a night of fireworks to celebrate Canada Day… my mind has wandered to the fact that America will be lighting up their skies with fireworks this Friday for Fourth of July. So I have decided to do a blog post on ways my American friends can incorporate their flag into their lives this Friday.
Clothing… probably the most obvious way to incorporate your flag. Their are many different clothing items promoting the American flag available for sale on the high street. However you don’t have to deck yourself from head to toe, you could just use one item… or create an outfit of red, white and blue…. e.g red top, blue shorts, white shoes.
Many of you will be getting your kit off this Friday… I am sure!… whether it is at the beach, back garden, pool whatever… everyone seems to get a little naked on July 4th. So show your patriotic by plastering your flag on your private parts! There are lots of cute bikini’s available at places like American Apparel, Target, Nastygal.
Having people over? Or just hungry? Food is the way… not only is it delicious but you can have some fun by adding the American flag into your meals.
Why not bring some of that pride indoors, adding decorative pieces to your interior is not only being patriotic but also making your space look great. There are so many DIY ideas online to add some flag into your house.
Now all that’s left to decorate is your car. You don’t have to paint the whole thing in an American flag… unless you want to, and if in that case don’t hold me responsible. You can add a simple car flag… these are super cheap and easy to get a hold of… especially with the world cup going on.
I hope you all have a fantastic July 4th… and an amazing long weekend! Be safe and have FUN.
More news on the much anticipated Louis Vuitton museum, was announced today.
The $143,000,000, 126,0000 sq ft museum is designed by, Canadian Pritzker Prize winning architect Frank Gehry. It is situated in the outskirts of Paris, Le Bois De Boulogne, and consists of 11 galleries containing the corporate art collection of LVMH, it will also play host to commissioned exhibits.
The doors of this immaculate museum will open October 26th, 2014. The first exhibition being showcased is a focus on the building itself and will run until Jan 5th 2015.
Great excuse to go to Paris!
So even though England is pretty much out of the World Cup… I am still on my high!
In fact, tomorrow night I will be heading to the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, to see my fav band and neighbors from Sheffield… THE ARCTIC MONKEYS!! Sooooo excited!!
So with them being British and of course myself being British I thought I would put together a concert style guide, with a Union Jack twist (pictured above).
This is probably my go to concert outfit as I am a bit of a lazy bum. Your fav pair of soft boyfriend jeans are the best thing to ever wear to a concert, as you can dance and jive and not have to worry about a single thing… your comfortable! I did want to ‘sex’ this outfit up a little, I did this by flashing a bit of belly skin, by pairing your jeans with a crop top. Now the shoes are my favorite part… but that’s probably because I already own them… these Union Jack converse beauties are the best thing to ever happen to your feet… trust me!
If your confident in showing off your stems… then DO IT! A cute pair of high wasted jean shorts are pretty much a concert staple … if you don’t have any, GET SOME! If you are like me and you ooze British pride then pair it with a massive ‘F’ off Union Jack sweater (which of course I own), however any big slouchy sweater is perfect for a concert, and will leave you feeling less self conscious about your teeny tiny shorts… however please do make sure the material of your sweater isn’t too heavy or you will be hanging out in your bra! To ice this outfit off add the British fashion icon of Dr Marten, and you are ready to rock and roll.
The simplest of looks here, and something I actually wear a lot of… the t-shirt dress. The most comfortable dress ever created. This burgundy River Island beauty is perfect for feeling absolutely comfortable at a concert, but also looking pretty bloody cute. Pair these with the classic British music festival shoe… ‘The Hunter Wellies’ and your set!
Going to concerts are so much fun. A time to sing, dance, and enjoy awesome music. I will certainly be enjoying myself this weekend… Arctic Monkeys watch out!

So for most of you you know that Father’s Day is this Sunday June 15th, for others this is a massive reminder!
But if you are like me, then you haven’t got your gift yet. I thought I would help out… here is a last minute DIY gift ideas for you!
1. Photo Album
You can now get images printed really quickly… in fact on the Walmart website you can upload your images on line and pick them up in an hour… then all you need is an album and a little bit of time.
Research some BBQ sauce recipes and make some up, put in a cute mason jar and their ready for your dad to get his grill on.
3. Beer Cake
If your of legal age, then you can grab this one for your Dad. Instead of giving him a 12 pack make it a decorative 12 pack.
4. Gift Box
Make your Dad a gift box of all his fav things!… e.g cheese box, blu ray box, bbq box, aftershave box.
5. Key hook
I am sure you have wine corks lying around, turn those corks into something decorative for Dad… simply glue the corks together then screw in some hooks… finished!
I do hope these 5 last minute DIY Father’s Day gifts have at least helped inspire you. A personal touch is really the best gift.
Happy Father’s Day!
So I received an e-mail from Pinterest the other day, about how nail art is trending. After seeing the e-mail I started to notice on my days out that nail art is trending, on the hands of old and young alike.
I have tried to do some nail art before, and failed drastically so I tend to stick to the, boring one color (fav color… Chanel Black Pearl). However I do think nail art is super cool and would love to practice again.
So after searching I came across a blog called ‘nailed it’ (www.blognailedit.co), there are so many different styles of nails for you to try out along with step by steps.
My goal is to follow at least a few of these nail tutorials, to jazz up my summer wardrobe.
How do you wear your nails?
