I am so sorry I have been MIA… however my life has taken over … SUCKY! I do hope to get back into the spirit of writing as I was loving it.
But just a little update I am currently in Chicago and LOVING it… I mean who doesn’t love Chicago???
So as I am in Chicago I thought I would let you into my TOP 5 things to do while your in the windy city.
1. BILLY GOAT TAVERN
The famous Billy Goat Tarvern is DEFINITELY a place you have to go. Established in 1934 this place has seen it all. So take it from me YOU GOTTA EAT HERE… oh and order a double double.
2. CLOUD GATE
Cloud Gate or as I (and many many others) like to call it ‘The Bean’. Is just a really cool sculpture by Anish Kapoor’s located in Millennium park. Great place to take some ‘selfies’.
3. NAVY PIER
It’s hot, it’s summer, you want a beer or a margarita? Head to Navy Pier located right on the water (obviously) this place has some serious people watching and guess what! You can walk around with a drink… epic!
4. JOHN HANCOCK OBSERVATORY
You can’t go to the city and not see the city from the sky. The 360 views at the John Hancock building are unreal… and if you dare try the TILT. Which is basically a glass window which you stand in and it TILT’s to scare the crap out of you. AWESOME.
5. MAGNIFICENT MILE
Or MAG MILE as ‘us’ Chicagoan’s say, is the PERFECT place to get your shop on… stuffed with high street names such as TopShop and High ends names such as Burberry… this mile of shopping has something for everyone!
Hopefully you are heading to Chicago at some point and if not… set a date! You will love it.
Due to the fact that England is playing again today in the World Cup vs Uruguay. I thought that we should celebrate Britain and what truly amazing Kingdom it is… no bias intended (NOT).
The best way to celebrate England/Britain is to deck yourself and your house in flag gear. So if you are wanting to get your Brit on, or if you have a special British person in your life…these ideas make great gifts!
-Referring to image above-
1. Are you the kind of person that dreams England? Then snuggle under this Union Jack duvet cover… it is sure to keep you warm on a night.
2. There isn’t a better gift than a home made on… so get your chef on and bake a cake! The one above is a sponge cake… but you could also make a trifle! Very British, and delicious.
3. Need a new pair of shoes for the summer? Well our darling friends at Toms have come out with the most perfect Union Jack shoe (I will be adding these to my collection!).
4. By adding a few colored throw cushions onto a bed or couch, it can really brighten up a space, and add some character, with this Union Jack cushion your room will be full of character… amazing character that is.
5. How else to get everyone to look and see your true pride for Britain, than this England flag phone case… everyone will be look and tell you how amazing you are.
I hope you enjoy these gift ideas, and are able to make that Brit in your life truly happy!
COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!
Today I wanted to talk about one of Toronto’s little gems!

The Good Press is situated in a deliciously warm and inviting basement shop located 87 Yorkville Ave, Toronto. On top of their stunning interior and alluring atmosphere, they offer a wide variety of treats such as: made to order fresh juices, smoothies, grab and go cold press items with quirky names such as Eye Spy, prepared salads, and even açai bowls served with organic granola and fresh fruit.
The Good Press have also recently released the news that they offer juice cleanses!
This really is the place to get your fresh and healthy on! And, with so much variety it will bring you back every day… and trust me you will want to go.
So go check them out today! Make sure to try my fav drink – Emerald City (kale, cucumber, celery, parsley, romaine, apple, lemon, ginger)… YUM!
After 27 years of business, Canadian designer Lida Baday has decided to close up shop.
Her creations sold in such places as: The Bay, Holt Renfrew, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstroms. They have also worn by celebrities such as powerhouse Oprah Winfrey.
Baday’s Toronto studio will be holding a sample sale June 20th until June 21st at 70 Claremont St. Everything is marked down to $80 and less… this is a massive markdown, from normal sale prices being $1,500-$1,800!
However with this sad news, we wish all the best to the Baday family.
