I am so sorry I have been MIA… however my life has taken over … SUCKY! I do hope to get back into the spirit of writing as I was loving it.
But just a little update I am currently in Chicago and LOVING it… I mean who doesn’t love Chicago???
So as I am in Chicago I thought I would let you into my TOP 5 things to do while your in the windy city.
1. BILLY GOAT TAVERN
The famous Billy Goat Tarvern is DEFINITELY a place you have to go. Established in 1934 this place has seen it all. So take it from me YOU GOTTA EAT HERE… oh and order a double double.
2. CLOUD GATE
Cloud Gate or as I (and many many others) like to call it ‘The Bean’. Is just a really cool sculpture by Anish Kapoor’s located in Millennium park. Great place to take some ‘selfies’.
3. NAVY PIER
It’s hot, it’s summer, you want a beer or a margarita? Head to Navy Pier located right on the water (obviously) this place has some serious people watching and guess what! You can walk around with a drink… epic!
4. JOHN HANCOCK OBSERVATORY
You can’t go to the city and not see the city from the sky. The 360 views at the John Hancock building are unreal… and if you dare try the TILT. Which is basically a glass window which you stand in and it TILT’s to scare the crap out of you. AWESOME.
5. MAGNIFICENT MILE
Or MAG MILE as ‘us’ Chicagoan’s say, is the PERFECT place to get your shop on… stuffed with high street names such as TopShop and High ends names such as Burberry… this mile of shopping has something for everyone!
Hopefully you are heading to Chicago at some point and if not… set a date! You will love it.
I’m back!! After a lovely long weekend, some time to catch up with family and friends, and enjoy Canada Day… I am back and ready to get BLOGGING!
After a night of fireworks to celebrate Canada Day… my mind has wandered to the fact that America will be lighting up their skies with fireworks this Friday for Fourth of July. So I have decided to do a blog post on ways my American friends can incorporate their flag into their lives this Friday.
Clothing… probably the most obvious way to incorporate your flag. Their are many different clothing items promoting the American flag available for sale on the high street. However you don’t have to deck yourself from head to toe, you could just use one item… or create an outfit of red, white and blue…. e.g red top, blue shorts, white shoes.
Many of you will be getting your kit off this Friday… I am sure!… whether it is at the beach, back garden, pool whatever… everyone seems to get a little naked on July 4th. So show your patriotic by plastering your flag on your private parts! There are lots of cute bikini’s available at places like American Apparel, Target, Nastygal.
Having people over? Or just hungry? Food is the way… not only is it delicious but you can have some fun by adding the American flag into your meals.
Why not bring some of that pride indoors, adding decorative pieces to your interior is not only being patriotic but also making your space look great. There are so many DIY ideas online to add some flag into your house.
Now all that’s left to decorate is your car. You don’t have to paint the whole thing in an American flag… unless you want to, and if in that case don’t hold me responsible. You can add a simple car flag… these are super cheap and easy to get a hold of… especially with the world cup going on.
I hope you all have a fantastic July 4th… and an amazing long weekend! Be safe and have FUN.
So even though England is pretty much out of the World Cup… I am still on my high!
In fact, tomorrow night I will be heading to the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, to see my fav band and neighbors from Sheffield… THE ARCTIC MONKEYS!! Sooooo excited!!
So with them being British and of course myself being British I thought I would put together a concert style guide, with a Union Jack twist (pictured above).
This is probably my go to concert outfit as I am a bit of a lazy bum. Your fav pair of soft boyfriend jeans are the best thing to ever wear to a concert, as you can dance and jive and not have to worry about a single thing… your comfortable! I did want to ‘sex’ this outfit up a little, I did this by flashing a bit of belly skin, by pairing your jeans with a crop top. Now the shoes are my favorite part… but that’s probably because I already own them… these Union Jack converse beauties are the best thing to ever happen to your feet… trust me!
If your confident in showing off your stems… then DO IT! A cute pair of high wasted jean shorts are pretty much a concert staple … if you don’t have any, GET SOME! If you are like me and you ooze British pride then pair it with a massive ‘F’ off Union Jack sweater (which of course I own), however any big slouchy sweater is perfect for a concert, and will leave you feeling less self conscious about your teeny tiny shorts… however please do make sure the material of your sweater isn’t too heavy or you will be hanging out in your bra! To ice this outfit off add the British fashion icon of Dr Marten, and you are ready to rock and roll.
The simplest of looks here, and something I actually wear a lot of… the t-shirt dress. The most comfortable dress ever created. This burgundy River Island beauty is perfect for feeling absolutely comfortable at a concert, but also looking pretty bloody cute. Pair these with the classic British music festival shoe… ‘The Hunter Wellies’ and your set!
Going to concerts are so much fun. A time to sing, dance, and enjoy awesome music. I will certainly be enjoying myself this weekend… Arctic Monkeys watch out!

Dress: River Island
Boots: Hunter Original British Rain Boots
In the words of Rebecca Black ‘It’s Friday’ night …and a lot of you are probably going out on the town. But remember it’s summer, dressing shouldn’t be as difficult…. there is no need for layering or heavy garments and accessories.
Try a simpler approach this summer… a cute little dress is easy to throw on with a great pair of your fav sky high heels.
If you walk like a penguin in heels … then flats are ok too! Summer is the prefect time to throw on a cute pair of flat pumps or oxford shoes. Pair this with a cute tap short, and maybe a crop top and you are ready for dinner and dancing!
But remember the MOST IMPORTANT thing about getting dressed is…. feeling confident! You are HOT honey!
Have fun and be safe

After a great Saturday night with some amazing friends, drinking in the moonlight… it was pretty simple to figure out what I wanted to talk about today……ALCOHOL.
Last night I figured I would let my Canadian friends in on a British summer treasure… The Pimm’s Cup. May I say… THEY BLOODY LOVED IT!
The Pimm’s cup is an incredibly refreshing drink consisting of:
You can also add things like: raspberries, strawberries, oranges, apples, mint etc. It’s also a cute idea to serve your Pimm’s cup in a mason jar.
So if your looking for a new summer drink, do try out the British classic…. I know you’ll love it. But do be warned it can be deadly.
My style crush of the week is the gorgeous Rosie Huntington Whitely. My British sister RULED this 2014 Cannes Film Festival with her effortlessly chic looks.
I want to wear EVERY single outfit… waaaaaaa
She wore a slinky black Cushnie Et Ochs dress for the De Grisogono party she finished it off perfectly with a pop of color in her earrings.
For the premiere for ‘The Search’ she wore a perfectly fitting embroidered Gucci gown with minimal accessories.
To top it off she killed it by wearing a Emilio Pucci gown to the amfAR Aids Gala… although pointer I did hate the black shoes.
Well Miss Rosie Huntington Whitely a massive congratulations to your talented stylist… and of course you for creating yourself some show stopping Cannes. STUNNING!
For my first fashion Friday, I wanted to talk about something that is a staple in my closet!
I have pretty much been OBSESSED with jumpsuits for the past year and I am so happy that they are now accessible to purchase thanks to our wallet happy friends … H&M, Forever 21, Zara etc.
There is something about a jumpsuit that is so chic… they are so comfortable.
Wear it casual with a pair of flats or your fav converses for a casual everyday look or spice it up for a night out with a pair of heels.
However you wear your jumpsuit just know you look chic … without the effort! (shhh)
