So it’s Saturday… it’s time for a night out… PARTY, and this week’s Ciaté polish ‘Knee Highs’ is a perfect combination for any party outfit.
Knee Highs is a glossy deep blue…my fav kind of colour.
So makeup is NOT my forte… but I love it. I love to experiment with makeup, and make myself look different. I have learnt a LOT of tricks over the years as a wardrobe stylist, from my lovely makeup artist friends.
Although I am not as fabulous as them and never will be, I wanted to start documenting some of my makeup looks and start to experiment with you.
Look 1… I am going El Natural… basically because I have NO clue what I am doing.
Here are the products I used:
FOUNDATION: CHANEL – PERFECTION LUMIÈRE #40 BRUSH: REAL TECHNIQUES – EXPERT FACE BRUSH
BRONZE: CHANEL – LES BEIGES #40 BRUSH: REAL TECHNIQUES – BLUSH BRUSH
PENCIL: MAC – SPIKED SPOOLIE: N/A
LIPSTICK: CHANEL – ROUGE ALLUE 108
A ‘natural’ glow.
This week I have been rocking and LOVING the Ciaté London Mini Manor colour ‘Talent Scout’.
Not only do I love the name…It is this amazing purple that really seems to change its intensity in different lights… it can be really bright or deep purple… weird!
Anyway I love it!
However I have found that with the flat colours (none sparkle) they are very streaky, and I will list the colours I didn’t like in a future blog post… rant over… enjoy the pics.
After receiving this fabulous pair of Doc Martens, it seems that my shoe obsession has gone a little stir crazy!
Doc Martens are a British heritage… a MUST HAVE item… So quite obviously they are GLUED to my feet this winter.
With my lust for my Doc Martens so ever strong I put together a lookbook with 3 (and a 1/2) ways to wear your Doc Martens in the winter… enjoy.
Sweater: H&M White T: Zara Velvet Leggings: H&M
Dress: River Island Jacket: Vintage Tights: Who knows!
Jacket: Vintage Dress: Topshop Tights: Still no clue!
Dress: Topshop Tights: Aaaaaa
So it’s week two of my Ciaté London Mini Manor 2014 blog post.
This week I decided to use two colors… you know being all trendy at that!
These nails make me feel like a sparkly Barbie, using ‘Mineral Love’ and ‘Strawberry Milkshake’…. YUM!
Enjoy the pics… BTW sorry about the bad paint’man’ ship.
Hello my loves!
This morning I finally received my shipment from Zara. I have been DREAMING about these shoes, well the Saint Laurent version… but what a dupe! What a bargain!
These Zara glitter booties are such a staple in my closet already… and it’s only day one!
Here are some pics of my outfit of the day!
They can be ordered here: http://www.zara.com/ca/en/sale/woman/shoes/glitter-booties-c541568p2381517.html
– Comfort level 8
– The glitter stays on
– No grip on sole so can be slippy
– They had sold out of most sizes, I am a small 7 but ordered a 6 1/2, they fit perfectly
Top: Forever 21
I was lucky enough to receive the Ciaté London Mini Manor 2014 calendar as a Christmas present… it’s a NAIL POLISH ADVENT CALENDAR!!!
What’s included? 24 GOSH DARN AMAZING NAIL POLISHES!
I love the Ciaté calendars as it’s a way to try different nail polishes without forking out an absolute fortune.
However just a note they do usually retail in Canada for about $75… which cheaper than buying all the colours. But is still an expense … so here’s a hint … if you wait until after Christmas, this set is dramatically reduced, you can get them as cheap as $25!!!
Anyway I have decided that every Friday I am going to do a swatch… I am going to paint my nails my fav colour of the week.
This week its:
ESPADRILLES, it’s a stunning ruby red. Perfect for the snowy time… it makes me feel all wintery and Dorothy like. We’re not in Kansas anymore!
Today I wanted to talk about one of Toronto’s little gems!
THE GOOD PRESS!
Although this is probably late news for most of you will already know about The Good Press, if you don’t then…. I don’t know where the hell you’ve been hiding. But I wanted to discuss it anyway as I have become addicted!
The Good Press is situated in a deliciously warm and inviting basement shop located 87 Yorkville Ave, Toronto. On top of their stunning interior and alluring atmosphere, they offer a wide variety of treats such as: made to order fresh juices, smoothies, grab and go cold press items with quirky names such as Eye Spy, prepared salads, and even açai bowls served with organic granola and fresh fruit.
The Good Press have also recently released the news that they offer juice cleanses!
This really is the place to get your fresh and healthy on! And, with so much variety it will bring you back every day… and trust me you will want to go.
So go check them out today! Make sure to try my fav drink – Emerald City (kale, cucumber, celery, parsley, romaine, apple, lemon, ginger)… YUM!
